Join Molly Brown, socialite and philanthropist, aboard the Titanic and hear their story first-hand in this cross-curricular workshop. Through drama, improvisation, storytelling, and performance, children will explore this historic event whilst learning about the ship, its fateful voyage, and the voices of people from different classes and walks of life on board at the time.

During this workshop, the children will:

  • Play our 10 Second Pictures game, creating snapshots of the time, whilst learning about the ship, the iceberg, and its passengers.

  • Role-play different characters and classes on board

  • Using poetry, act out scenes of boarding, dining and working on the ship, up to when the iceberg hits.

  • Invent a passenger or family,  develop their backstory, and reflect on what they lost or learned through storytelling and hot-seating.

  • Walk our Conscience Alley, sharing voices from the past and how the Titanic is remembered today.

Mrs Khan - teacher

“The Drama Hut were amazing, very helpful and accommodating while we were making the arrangements for the workshop to take place. The actor who came was excellent with the children and kept them engaged at all times. She was very informative while also making the workshop fun and exciting. We will use The Drama Hut again for future workshops in our school.”
